Christina Scribano published in Science Translational Medicine

Christina Scribano (recent PhD graduate in Weaver Lab) published a study in Science Translational Medicine that elucidates how a commonly-used cancer drug called paclitaxel works in some patients with breast cancer. Though often used as a cancer treatment, paclitaxel is not effective for all patients. Prior to this study the mechanism by which it works had been unclear. The research team identified a potential way to determine which patients will benefit from this treatment, and which patients will not.
