Research Interests
Drug discovery can be a long and expensive process. To accelerate research in the development of new treatments, phenotypic approaches are used to screen compounds at high-throughput and identify promising candidates quickly. Microscopy imaging and Cell Painting have been widely adopted in industry and academia to determine the effects of drugs by looking at the way cells respond to treatments. At the core of this new approach is computation, specifically machine learning, which allows to identify and recognize complex patterns efficiently and at scale.
